The Royal Hospital for Neuro-Disability Putney and Guys Hospital turn to Diaco®

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability (RHN) and the internationally renowned Guys Hospital have turned to Diaco® to solve the problems of wheelchair dental patients.

The Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability was the first hospital to develop a floor mounted based system to recline wheelchair patients for dental care. This outdated system has now been superseded by the Diaco® Dental Chair.

A spokesperson said "The old floor mounted system was cumbersome and impractical and made it difficult to get patients treated in the right position. The Diaco® Dental Chair allows great patient positioning and its 500kg capacity allows us to treat patients in electric wheelchairs."

Guys Hospital have for some years used a old wheelchair recline system but now have invested in a Diaco® Dental Chair.

David Vandyke, Co-Founder and Director, said:

"Guys Hospital are making a dedicated treatment room for Bariatric and Wheelchair users and wanted the best equipment. They have a floor mounted delivery system and have a Bariatric Dental Chair one side and will have the Diaco® Dental Chair on the other allowing a very wide range of patients to be treated in a world class facility."

Diaco® Dental Chairs are now being used in 14 countries, giving increasing numbers of wheelchair users around the world a safer and more comfortable dental experience.
